Hello!

I was born and raised in Door County, Wisconsin. Art has always been a part of my life.  I grew up in a very artistic and whimsical family with a father who is a well-known dog cartoonist; a mother who is an owner of a beautiful European-style wine boutique, and a brother and sister-in-law who are professional photographers.

After high-school, I ventured to Chicago, IL to pursue my love for graphic design. I attended college at The Illinois Institute of Art: with a major in Visual Communications. It was there that I furthered my knowledge around the philosophy of type and image. My dream was to become a package wine label designer so I focused my strengths on layout, composition, and a wide array of mediums to express the soul of each collateral piece. It's still my passion to pursue that dream, but as I neared the end of my collage career I was getting hungry to just dabble into the real world of design.

I got my first job at Motorola. In all honesty, I didn't think I would like the digital design space, but I've come to love it and can't think of spending my time in any other fashion at this point in my life. I obsess over creating the best user experience possible. It's a thrill to get to work on an experience that will live in the hands of billions of people. Their life will revolve around what you are helping to create. I'm helping to pave the way people will communicate to one another...it's a pretty astonishing realization.
